Аnnotation: The article discusses the design of ultrasonic sensors for measuring the velocity of waves through the studied rock core sample. Selection of operating frequencies of excitation and vibration recording is justified. It describes the use of matching layers that improve the acoustic matching of the waveguide material with the analyzed core sample and affect the amplitude of the received signal. Examples of recorded signals are given on a standard plexiglass test sample with and without acoustic impedance matching layers.
