Keywords: seismological network, registration of seismic events, network sensitivity, representativeness of the earthquake catalog, receiver functions
Аnnotation: The article shortly describes the seismological network of the Orenburg region. It includes the location of seismic stations and technical equipment. The basic characteristics of the network such as the sensitivity of the network, the representativeness of the earthquake catalog, etc. are considered in this article. We’ve estimated the location and properties of the main seismic boundaries in the region: the sediment-basement, the Moho, and the mantle transition zone with data from a single broadband station. Recordings of remote earthquakes and the receiver function method were used to determine the boundaries.
