Keywords: Khibiny massif, natural-technogenic seismicity, March 5, 2022 earthquake, location, macroseismic effect, after-shocks
Аnnotation: The paper considers a natural-technogenic earthquake with ML = 3.7 (mb = 4.4) that occurred on March 5, 2022 in the Khibiny massif, the epicenter is located within the industrial site of the Vostochny mine of the Kirovsk Branch of JSC “Apatit”. This earthquake is the second strongest event in the Khibiny during the period of instrumental observations on the Kola Peninsula since 1956; it was recorded by several dozen stations of the world network. Information is provided on determining the coordinates of the hypocenter of this event accord-ing to the data of the regional and local (installed at the Vostochny mine) networks of stations. The solution obtained from the local network data is the most accurate and can be considered as ground truth when refining wave propagation models both at the global and regional levels. The article provides information about the macroseismic effect, and considers the aftershock series of this event.
