Аnnotation: The capabilities of island seismic stations “Franz Josef land”, “Omega” and “Severnaya Zemlya” for seismic monitoring of the Arctic region are discussed. With this end in view, we analyse the temporal changes of the European Arctic seismicity parameters, the spectral power density of microseisms for seismic stations places compared to Peterson’s curves, the temporal variations of the representative magnitude ML and the accuracy of the earthquake location. As an assessment of the registration capabilities of island seismic stations the monitoring results of Gakkel Ridge with ultra-slow oceanic crust spreading are considered.
