Аnnotation: The paper is devoted to the study of changes in the dynamic elastic properties of rock samples subjected to tri-axial compression and brought to the state of quasi-plastic deformation. The main attention is paid to the issue of changes in the velocities of elastic compression and shear waves along different directions inside the sample and the relationship between this change and the evolution of the stress-strain state. It is demonstrated that the accumulation of plastic deformation in a rock sample and its localization lead to changes in the velocity of elastic wave propagation, which can be detected during multilevel ultrasonic scanning. The obtained results make it possible to build a mathematical model of the effective properties of rocks taking into account natural and induced anisotropy.
