Keywords: historical earthquakes, macroseismic studies, seismic hazard
Аnnotation: Based on materials from the central and regional archives of Russia, information on four unknown earthquakes of the 19th century was discovered. In addition, initial sources of information about two known seismic events, the parameters of which were determined based on information in seismological compilations, were discovered. The value of the identified new earthquakes, first of all, is due to the fact that the places where they occurred were considered practically aseismic, therefore every earthquake of even moderate magnitude is of great importance for an adequate assessment of the seismic hazard of these territories.
