Аnnotation: The article examines seismicity manifestations in the area of the junction of the Turan (Scythian) plate and East European platform in historical and modern periods. Information for temporary and permanent seismic stations in this area and its vicinity is presented. The study area is characterized by the manifestation of both natural seismicity and anthropogenic seismicity initiated by the development of oil and gas fields. There is a zone of natural earthquakes associated with collapses in the salt layer of the Caspian region, which includes earthquakes near Lake Shalkar in 1830, 1989 and 2008. The parameters of strong earthquake of 04/25/2023 with mb = 4.5 in the Mangistau region are presented, as well as the focal mechanisms of the strongest earthquakes in Western Kazakhstan.
