Аnnotation: The catalog of the Kuril-Okhotsk region, published annually by the journal “Earthquakes of Northern Eurasia” of the publishing house of the United geophysical survey RAS, contains seven different regional energy characteristics of earthquakes. The conversion to a unified magnitude is carried out according to formulas obtained more than half a century ago. Based on the data of this catalog for 1993–2019, new relationships between the surface magnitude MLH of the catalog and other magnitudes, as well as the energy class KC, were obtained by the method of generalized orthogonal linear regression. The relations for the transition from the magnitudes of the catalog to the moment magnitude MW of the main world agencies are also obtained. For the objectives of the work performed an estimation of the standard error of regional energy characteristics. Investigated the dependence of the regression coefficients of the transition formulas on the depth. According to the results, there is no need to recalculate the unified calculated magnitude of the catalog for strong events, but the magnitude of moderately strong and weak earthquakes needs to be revised. This will help to improve the estimation of seismicity in areas where strong earthquakes are rare or unknown, and the possibilities for determining magnitudes of weak events are limited.
