Keywords: North Baikal rift, georadiolocation, vertical displacement, Baikal rift zone, Lake Baikal
Аnnotation: The results of georadiolocation studies of the Late Quaternary Cheremshana-Bolsodeisky section of the Severobaikalsky fault are considered. The studies were carried out in order to reveal the peculiarities of seismogenic ruptures on the surface and in depth and to specify kinematic and geometric parameters of these ruptures. The works were carried out with the georadars OKO-2 and OKO-3 with the shielded antenna units AB-250/700 M3, AB 150/400 M3, AB-90 and the unshielded antenna unit ABDL “Triton”. In addition to the basic method, morphostructural analysis of the ledges was used. As a result of the work performed, it was established that the seismogenic deformations were formed in conditions of tectonic extension with predominant fault kinematics of displacement. Analysis of morphostructural and trending data showed that during the last 10 thousand years at least two seismic events with magnitudes МS ≥ 6.8 and МS ≥ 7.1 occurred in the Cheremshana-Bolsodeisk area.
