Technique of shear modulus definition for the railway embankment material

Аnnotation: The problem of definition of shear modulus of material of the railway embankment is discussed. It is shown that typical railway embankments can be modelled the elastic half-space for the efforts determined by the weight of the train. Only vertical movements of the environment are considered. Movement of mounted axle which transfers effort from train weight is modelled by the moving concentrated force, and it is possible to use results of the solution of task on action of the concentrated force on surface of elastic half-space. As a result, for definition of modules of the environment it is possible to fix movements of the environment by the seismic velocimeter and to compare to theoretical values.
