Аnnotation: A method for processing passive seismic data based on a model of the layer for which resonant properties are most clearly manifested is proposed. This task is relevant for studying the upper part of the geological section in urbanized areas in order to justify the construction of various facilities. The result of processing is a certain coefficient of coherence between the observed seismic field and the result of solving a direct problem of elasticity theory for a resonant layer. The maxima of this coefficient correlate with the boundaries of the elastic layers, which makes it possible to distinguish intermediate layers and interlayers in the zone of low velocities. This approach can be used to solve problems of seismology.
