Keywords: vertical natural vibrations of buildings, standing wave method, coherence, earthquake resistance
Аnnotation: The vertical natural vibrations of buildings are studied in order to determine their features and the degree of danger. It is shown that in buildings, in addition to vertical modes formed as a result of interference, natural vibrations can arise from pumping the energy of horizontal natural vibrations in the presence of coupling in the vibrations of the components. The vertical natural vibrations of buildings are significantly affected by the change in mass due to the equipment and materials placed inside the building.
