Аnnotation: The paper investigates the preparation of the recent Ural earthquake of September 4, 2018 using the method of seismic entropy. Based on the hierarchy of seismic systems, the specific features of the occurrence of weak but sensitive earthquakes in the intraplate zones are analyzed, the classification of such seismic systems at the lowest energy level is given. The technology makes it possible to interpret unusual manifestations of seismicity in the past, to identify the dynamics of slow accumulation and discharge of stresses over tens and hundreds of years, and to assess the possibility of the occurrence of a stronger earthquake in the future. The conditions for the occurrence of a sensitive earthquake near the Beloyarsk NPP have been quantitatively studied. It is shown that the seismotectonic features of the Ural structures cannot lead to the preparation of a strong destructive earthquake but monitoring the appearance of weak but sensitive earthquakes is important to prevent possible technological and environmental disasters at industrial facilities and nuclear power plants.
