Аnnotation: Analysis of the stability of two precision instruments in a place where the parameters of the environmental impact are known is an urgent task of geophysical metrology. Knowing the spectrum of disturbing interference, it is possible to evaluate the synchronism and adequacy of temporal changes of highly sensitive sensors installed next to each other. In this study, we analyzed the signals recorded by two precision tiltmeters installed in the basement of Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the same pedestal. The statistical analysis of the obtained time series made it possible to identify a wide spectrum of slope fluctuations, including the annual (seasonal) temperature wave. At the same time, the stability of the level of the detected disturbances and, especially, the seasonal variation makes it possible to use them as a natural “calibrator” in the records of parallel instruments and to assess the synchronism of the functioning of parallel tiltmeters. The results obtained make it possible to use the created observation system as a test system in assessing the degree of adequacy and metrological stability of recording tilts in the monitoring mode for any types of tiltmeters that can be placed in parallel with the installed (reference) ones.
