Аnnotation: The use of special methods of sensor correction can make it possible to use short-period seismometers with an extended frequency range in the absence of broadband sensors to solve a wide range of problems associated with recording low-frequency signals. The paper considers the scheme of instrumental correction using integrating elements to expand the frequency range of the SM-3KV seismometer to the low frequency region. In laboratory conditions, the calibration of the modified seismometer was carried out as well as the testing of the device on the records of the microseismic noise, explosions, and earthquakes. The performed analysis of microseismic noise shows the possibility of using the developed device for recording and analyzing microseismic noise at frequencies above 0.07 Hz. Analysis of records of explosions and earthquakes demonstrated that the developed scheme can be used for seismic monitoring, taking into account the features of frequency and phase responses of the modified seismometers.
