EFFICIENCY EVALUATION OF GRAVIMETER VIBRATION PROTECTION DURING AEROGRAVIMETRIC SURVEYS

Аnnotation: Airborne gravimetric survey is a rapidly developing and promising method for studying the gravity field in hard-to-reach areas of the Earth. However, there are difficulties in its practical use. Thus, during the flight, inertial interference occurs due to the vibration of the aircraft fuselage caused by the engines. In prior years various versions of anti-vibration protection designs were tested. In the course of the annual aero-gravimetric work, Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth of the Russian Academy of Sciences uses a rather effective variant, which, however, cannot be considered as final. With the help of a high-frequency seismic station, the effectiveness of the gravimeter vibration protection system used during aero-gravimetric work was first evaluated. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the suppression of vibrations was carried out in a wide frequency range. During the experimental flights, a decrease in vibration noise was detected at a frequency of 2 Hz important for the gravimetric complex. Experimental results confirm the adequacy of the system used vibration protection devices. Vibroprotection platform developed at Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth of the Russian Academy of Sciences significantly reduces vibrations affecting the airborne gravimetric complex GT-2M. The possibility of using the high-frequency seismic station “Baikal-ACN” in a non-standard application area is shown.
