Keywords: short-period seismometer, geophone, frequency response correction filter, damping of oscillating system, multiplication of transfer functions
Аnnotation: The paper reviews correction methods of frequency response of short-period seismometers and geophones: the method of multiplying the transfer sensor functions with the transfer function of correction filter of the 2nd order and the method providing a large attenuation in the oscillating system ( h =5-10) followed by correction of the frequency response with filter of the 1st order. A scheme of the correcting device developed by the authors for expanding the frequency range of the GS-20DX geophone is described. Tests under laboratory conditions of the geophone with correction of the frequency response according to this scheme showed the effectiveness of the proposed method.
