Keywords: seismic hazard assessment, NPP, Kola Peninsula, Karelia
Аnnotation: The territory of the Kola Peninsula and Karelia is characterized by a very weak level of modern seismicity, but traces of numerous paleo-earthquakes with an intensity of up to 9-10 are revealed here. Their account can significantly change the current seismic hazard assessment of the territory. This and some other problems associated with seismic hazard assessment for nuclear and radiation hazardous objects in the region are considered.
