Аnnotation: This paper is a brief review on modern approaches and methods of digital elevation model generation. The focus is on photogrammetry methods of model generation, whereas the photogrammetry relies on a series of overlapping photographic images. In case of the article the camera was located on an UAV. We describe the major steps of digital elevation model generation, gear requirements, image capturing details, and used software. Lastly, we show how we created a local digital elevation model of part of the island near the northern bank of Ladoga Lake.
