Keywords: astronomical climate theory, tilt of the rotation axis, stability of the Solar system, equivalent latitudes, insolation, meridional gradient of insolation, meridional heat transfer, method of actualism
Аnnotation: The paper analyzes the insolation calculations performed on the basis of solving the two-body problem. The errors associated with simplifying the calculation algorithm of insolation and not taking into account (at the same time) the attraction of the planets of the Solar system and their satellites in the calculations of the Earth’s irradiation are shown. The inconsistency of using the equivalent latitude method in paleoclimatology is shown. Evidence is given for the need to account for changes in the meridional gradient of insolation, which regulates the meridional transfer of heat from the equator to the polar regions in paleoclimatology and paleogeography.
