Аnnotation: The temperature regime for different altitudinal climatic zones of the Alpine region is studied. The initial data used are records of average monthly air temperatures from the Zugspitze (High Alps) and Hohenpeißenberg (Alpine foothills) weather stations for the period from 1900 to 2024. An analysis of temperature variations and temperature anomalies relative to the base period of 1961–1990 showed that warming is evident both at the foothills and in the highlands, with an intensification of climate change observed at both stations from 1969 to 2024. Regardless of spatial and temporal heterogeneity, air temperature variations exhibit a seasonal pattern, with seasonal temperature values generally being lower for the period from 1901 to 1968 and highest for the period from 1969 to 2024. These regional features and short-term deviations do not generally affect the overall warming trend. At the Zugspitze weather station, temperature increments over ten years are lower than at the Hohenpeißenberg weather station, due to the weakening of the greenhouse effect in the Alpine zone compared to the temperate climate at the foot of the Alps.
