Аnnotation: A series of average monthly quasibiannial oscillation (QBO) indexes has been accumulated from 1954 to 2023. The similarity between the spectra of QBO and the coordinates of the Earthʼs poles is shown. Celestial-mechanical nature of the Chandler wobble and QBO periods is revealed. The waves of thermal and gravitational tides absorbed in the atmosphere are described. A pronounced, simultaneous attenuation of the amplitudes of oscillations: QBO, Chandler and solar activity observed in recent years is discussed.
