Keywords: Sun, angular height, time, coordinates, day of the year, clouds, direct, diffuse and total natural illumination
Аnnotation: An analytical expression approximating the experimental data on the daily natural illumination of the Earth's surface in the extended from to the range of the angular height of the Sun is given. The values of the coefficients of this expression for the direct, scattered and total components of natural light at different states of the Earth's atmosphere and the underlying surface are determined. In the equatorial geocentric coordinate system, the relationship between the angular height of the Sun in the period from sunrise to sunset and the local time of an arbitrary calculated point of the earth's surface at arbitrary values of latitude and day of the year is determined. Analytical expressions are given to determine the dependence of the direct, scattered and total components of the natural illumination of the earth's surface on the local time for any day of the year and latitude. The obtained data can be used in studies of unconscious reactions of the human body to daily changes in the characteristics of solar radiation, as well as in studies of visual perception.
